If you're lucky enough to spend Independence Day on 30A, you already know there’s no better place to soak in sun, surf, and celebration. Each charming beach community along this iconic stretch brings its own personality to the holiday—with festive bike parades, sweet treats, waterfront fireworks, and plenty of patriotic flair.

Whether you're looking for family fun, laid-back vibes, or a front-row seat to dazzling Gulf-front fireworks, here’s your guide to the best 4th of July events happening across 30A this week:

Rosemary After Dark: Music & Fireworks on the Green

🕒 Time: All Day
📍 Location: North Barrett Square, Rosemary Beach

Start your 4th with a beloved Rosemary Beach tradition: the Bike Parade. Locals and visitors of all ages show up early to deck out their bikes, wagons, and scooters with flags, streamers, and all things red, white, and blue. It’s pure Americana, 30A-style.

The parade winds through the brick-paved streets of Rosemary before ending in a lively block party. Kids can enjoy face painting and Kona Ice while everyone grabs a quick bite and celebrates together. This event is charming, family-friendly, and full of coastal small-town spirit.

Then later that evening join in the festivities throughout Rosemary beginning at 5pm and ending with fireworks over the gulf at 9pm.

Pro Tip: Arrive early (by 7:00 a.m.) if you want to grab some decorating supplies and claim a prime parade-viewing spot.

Seaside Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks

🕒 Time: Block Party 9 a.m.–12 p.m.; Concert & Fireworks from 5:30 p.m.
📍 Location: Seaside Amphitheater & Beachfront

Seaside goes all out for the 4th of July. The morning kicks off with a festive block party in the town square, where you’ll find everything from stilt walkers and balloon animals to live music and a hot dog eating contest.

But the real magic happens in the evening, when families gather on the Seaside Amphitheater lawn for a concert followed by a jaw-dropping fireworks show over the Gulf, beginning around 8:30 p.m. Previous years have seen big-name bands take the stage, so expect a fun and lively crowd.

Parking Tip: Seaside gets packed. Walk, bike, or take advantage of the free shuttle from Grayton Beach Public Parking Lot. Bring a blanket, snacks, and a festive attitude.

Grayton Beach 4th of July Parade & Festivities

🕒 Time: Parade at 8:30 a.m.
📍 Location: Starts at The Red Bar

Grayton Beach hosts perhaps the most quirky and creative 4th of July parade on 30A. There’s no registration—just show up with anything that rolls! Golf carts, bikes, scooters, even boats on trailers—if it moves and you can decorate it, you’re in.

The parade starts at the legendary Red Bar and winds through town with music, laughter, and plenty of crowd participation. Afterwards, many locals gather at AJ’s Grayton Beach for brunch, live music, and beachy vibes that keep the celebration going.

Best Viewing: Stake out a spot by 8:00 a.m. and bring something that makes noise—cowbells, horns, and speakers are all part of the fun.

Alys Beach Donut Eating Contest & Evening Fireworks

🕒 Time: Donut Eating Contest 9–11 a.m.; Evening Concert & Fireworks
📍 Location: Alys Beach Amphitheater

For a sweet start to the day, Alys Beach offers a crowd favorite: the Donut Eating Contest, hosted by Charlie’s Delights. It's lighthearted, sugar-fueled fun for both participants and spectators alike.

In the evening, the celebration shifts into elegance with a concert on the green and a breathtaking fireworks display lighting up Alys Beach’s iconic white architecture. With its upscale vibe and beautiful setting, this is a great option for those looking for a relaxed yet memorable experience.

Perfect For: Families or couples looking for a calmer, more refined evening under the stars.

WaterColor Beach Club 4th of July Celebration (Private)

🕒 Time: 11 a.m.–9 p.m. (Fireworks at 8:30 p.m.)
📍 Location: WaterColor Beach Club (Guests & Residents Only)

Guests of the WaterColor Beach Club can enjoy an all-day poolside party complete with live music, chef-prepared cookout fare, and festive drinks. The vibe is refined but fun, with plenty of opportunity to relax and celebrate.

At night, guests gather for a front-row seat to the fireworks over the Gulf. With private beach access, this is one of the most exclusive ways to enjoy the holiday.

Note: This event is only for WaterColor guests and residents—but if you’re staying in the community, don’t miss it!

Tips for Making the Most of Your 30A 4th of July

  • Arrive Early: Events fill up fast, especially for parades and fireworks. The earlier, the better!

  • Choose Walk/Bike/Golf Cart: Parking is extremely limited in most towns on 30A. Avoid the headache and travel the scenic way.

  • Pack Like a Pro: Bring chairs, blankets, sunscreen, snacks, and water—especially for evening concerts and fireworks.

  • Use Shuttles When Available: Seaside’s shuttle service from Grayton is a major time-saver.

  • Plan Ahead: Some events overlap, so choose your favorite or create a schedule that lets you hit more than one.

🇺🇸 Celebrate the Spirit of 30A

Every 30A community offers its own twist on the 4th of July—from the quirky charm of Grayton Beach to the coastal elegance of Alys and WaterColor. No matter where you spend the day, one thing is certain: you’ll experience the unmistakable hospitality, joy, and beachside magic that make 30A such a special place to celebrate freedom.
